The Annual General Meeting of BJIT, one of the largest IT companies in Bangladesh was held on October 5, 2020. BJIT has celebrated its glorious 20 years of success in the global IT industry. So, the meeting was a bit different than in other years. The meeting was held through zoom video conferencing to ensure the safety of the employees. About 450 engineers of BJIT Limited (Dhaka, Baridhara office) attended this special meeting. The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Akbar JM, Founder and CEO of BJIT Limited. In his speech, he mentioned the activities of last year and how BJIT has overcome the effects of COVID-19 without any layoff. He expressed his intention to provide the best quality service for the benefit of engineers and clients and to build BJIT as a company of 10,000 engineers within the next 10 years. Mehedi Masud, COO of BJIT Limited conducted the meeting and delivered his speech on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of BJIT. Also, top officials of BJIT such as Director of BJIT and Head of Software Division Javed Hasan, Diector of BJIT and Head of Finance Hosna Ara Jasmine, VP Mr. Humayun Kabir, VP and CTO Abul Alam, Senior GM Alamgir Mostafa, GM Firoz Rana, Head of SAP Enterprise Division Mr. Sami Afzal, and Senior GM Mohammad Ashraf Hossain provided their speech.
This special meeting was held for 6 hours. The main topic of discussion at the meeting was the strategy for overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and how to compete with world-renowned IT companies to make BJIT one of the world’s leading software companies. Finally, the meeting ended with declaring the names of promoted engineers of various departments, the best presentation awards, and the announcement of the names of the best employee of the year. The meeting was interesting, informative, enjoyable and all the members of BJIT Ltd. enjoyed the time.
